Professional Development Day for Music Teachers & Conductors
The “HKICF2027 Professional Development Day for Music Teachers & Conductors” is the festival’s inaugural initiative in 2027. It is designed to provide music educators and conductors with a premier professional advancement platform that integrates theoretical depth, practical demonstrations, and peer networking.
Led by a distinguished roster of prominent local and international conductors and music educators, this event will empower participants with highly practical choral conducting techniques and vocal pedagogies. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation and may apply for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours through their respective schools to enhance their professional qualifications.
Event Highlight
This full-day event offers a comprehensive and immersive itinerary, with highlights including:

Theory & Practice Combined
Featuring specialised morning and afternoon workshops on core pedagogical topics, alongside the Competition Cum Masterclass extension activity — the Adjudicators’ Forum, which bridges musical theory with classroom implementation.

Exclusive Lunchtime Concert
A specially curated lunchtime performance, showcasing outstanding choral standards and a diverse range of vocal artistry.

Exploration & Recognition
This event serves as a premier networking hub for the music education community. Participants will have valuable opportunities to connect, exchange insights, and build lasting relationships with prominent local and international conductors, experts, and fellow peers.
