Designed to meet the unique needs of each school, the Choir Clinic is a specialised programme featuring experienced choral experts from Hong Kong and abroad. These professionals provide one to two hours of personalised coaching at each school. During the clinic, the expert offers tailored guidance based on the needs of the choir. This clinic also presents an invaluable opportunity for teachers and conductors to observe the experts in action as they coach a choir on a new piece or help them polish old ones, and to benefit from a debriefing session with the expert after the clinic. Each participating school will receive a certificate from the choral experts in recognition of its involvement.

Frequently asked questions
For detailed information on the Choir Clinic, please refer to the “Rules & Regulations”.
Choir Clinics will be available from December to March. Teachers will be asked their preferred month(s) for the workshops to be conducted when signing up. HKICF will follow up and ask for more specific details at a later time, such as specific dates, the length of the session, and the repertoire chosen by the school.
Payment for the clinic sessions are calculated by an hourly rate. Schools are recommended to sign up for 1.5 to 2-hour sessions to ensure enough time for the clinicians to work with the school. Teachers will receive a payment reminder by email after signing up for the Choir Clinic. Note that the payment should be settled within the specified period to secure your registration.
Each school is allowed to prepare two to three songs for the Choir Clinic session.
For the suspension of classes due to infectious diseases/weather or other reasons, the scheduled Choir Clinic(s) will be cancelled without rescheduling or further notice. HKICF will not provide a refund under any circumstance.
Once the Choir Clinic date has been confirmed, the school/organisation who wishes to withdraw from the Choir Clinic must provide a written formal letter by the school principal along with valid supporting documents for review and approval.
Unless approved by the Organiser, the respective school or organisation will be responsible to pay the difference based on the original registration fee (HKD 4,000/per hour), which covers ongoing expenses including presenters and administrative fees.
