HKICF has always been dedicated to providing Hong Kong students the experience of participating in an international calibre choir festival without having to travel abroad. Through the interaction with the world’s top choirs we invite to Hong Kong, teachers and students can learn from their excellence, diversity, and creativity, and broaden their horizons in choral music. By focusing on the joy of singing rather than the pressure of competitions, students can more fully appreciate music as a universal language that transcends boundaries and cultures, and more readily develop a passion for choral music.
The HKICF2027 is honoured to invite two world‑renowned British vocal ensembles as our Guest Choir of The Year. We proudly welcome the Grammy-nominated mixed ensemble VOCES8, renowned for their luminous choral warmth, alongside the legendary all-male powerhouse The King’s Singers, whose five-decade legacy boasts multiple Grammy and Emmy Awards and a place in the Gramophone Hall of Fame.
The 2023 Grammy-nominated British vocal ensemble VOCES8 is the world’s top-streaming classical vocal group and is proud to inspire people through music and share the joy of singing. Touring globally, the group performs an extensive repertory both in its a cappella concerts and in collaborations with leading musicians, orchestras and conductors. Versatility and a celebration of diverse musical expression are central to the ensemble’s performance and education ethos which is shared both online and in person. VOCES8 is the flagship ensemble of the VOCES8 Foundation which actively promotes ‘Music Education For All’, reaching up to 40,000 people annually.
