How can music simultaneously enhance academic performance and personal growth? This workshop introduces the internationally acclaimed “VOCES8 Method,” created by Paul Smith.

Developed in response to research from the UCL Institute of Education, this innovative resource encourages whole-school music-making by drawing unique links between music and literacy, numeracy, and linguistics.

Paul Smith will share how this method better prepares students for their school day, developing key learning skills that have both a conscious and sub-conscious effect on their academic process. Participants will also explore the additional benefits of the method in areas such as physical and mental health, self-awareness, teamwork, and creative thinking. This session offers a forward-thinking perspective for music teachers, classroom educators, and conductors alike.
