A conductor’s gesture is the bridge between the score and the soul of the singers. In this workshop, Dr. T.J. Harper—a sought-after conducting pedagogue at major international festivals—will lead participants in revisiting the essential concepts of conducting technique, focusing on how to communicate with greater precision and emotion.

The session will focus on refining physical movements to enhance both clarity and expressive power. Dr. Harper will guide the group through the study of selected choral works, analyzing them specifically from a conductor’s perspective. A unique highlight of the workshop will be the “Masterclass” segment, where a few participants may be invited to the podium to lead the rest of the attendees. Under Dr. Harper’s expert mentorship, these participants will receive immediate feedback to refine their leadership skills.
