The “HKICF Friends” concert series is designed to strengthen the ties between the formal festival stage and the local community. Following the success of the 2024 collaboration with The Hong Kong Children’s Choir, the 2026 edition continues to bridge the gap between school music programmes and community-led ensembles. By bringing these different choral environments together, the series creates a shared space for artistic exchange and mutual inspiration among young vocalist
The evening will feature various sections of the Yuen Long Children’s Choir. Joining them as special guest choirs are four school choirs from the Tuen Mun and Yuen Long districts, all of whom delivered outstanding performances in HKICF2026. In the finale, all participating choirs will come together on stage to sing 《永遠的信望愛》by Ng Cheuk Yin. It will be an inspiring evening as Hong Kong’s vibrant young voices unite in shared appreciation and the uplifting spirit of choral music.
