Lai Ying Tong, also known as SiuTung, holds a B.A. from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an M.A. in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a renowned Hong Kong music producer. SiuTung is a versatile, cross-disciplinary musician who enjoys collaborating with different media organisations. She believes that a good musical work should not only be pleasing to listen to, but also enrich people’s lives by weaving music into different moments. Great music should move emotions, tell stories, evoke sentiment, and spark imagination. Creation should be innovative, interesting, passionate, and warm. SiuTung hopes to communicate and connect through music with producers, directors, singers, actors, theatre companies, and audiences across media.

Her scope of work spans pop music production (composition, arrangement, production), concert music direction, advertising music, stage and theatre music design and creation, and scores for film and television.

In pop music, SiuTung has collaborated with a wide range of artists over the years, including MC, Gareht. T, On Chan, Kaho, Terrence Lam, Sammi Cheng, Janice, Jay Fung, Gigi Tim, Endy Chow, Joyce Cheng, Cloud Wan, Panther Chan, Zpecial, Dear Jane etc. She has been involved in more than a hundred pop productions (as composer, arranger, and producer). Her music works include “Hey Feanna”, “Love Is 2.0”, “Quarter-Life Crisis”, “Be Still”, “Skateboard Night”, “The Death of a Love Struck Brain”, “Overdose”, “The last lifeboat”, “Your Catalogue of My Disgrace”, “Love Stairs” and “Falling in Love in an Instant” etc.

Her creations—though they regularly appear in major music charts—have also earned a variety of awards over the years, such as the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs, the Top Ten Golden Songs, the Ultimate Top Ten, the Best Melody at the Golden Sail Music Awards, and the Best Song at the Golden Sail Music Awards. In late 2012, SiuTung was selected as the winner of the Fourth New Generation Music Award.
