Victor So received his B.A. (Hons) in Music from The Hong Kong Baptist University and his M.A. in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently the Head of the Music and Arts Department at CCC Kei Wan Primary School (Aldrich Bay).So is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Music Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association, the Board of the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association, the Artistic Panel for the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Music Festival, and serves as Assistant Artistic and Music Director of the Hong Kong Metropolitan Pop Orchestra.
Having been coached by international choral maestros Dénes Szabó, Soma Szabó, Jan Schumacher and Dr. Shang Lun Wu, So is the choir conductor at CCC Kei Wan Primary School (Aldrich Bay). Under his leadership, the choir has won multiple championships at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, including “The Most Outstanding Primary School Choir” (2024 and 2025) and “The Best Primary School Senior Choir” in Hong Kong and Kowloon regions (2024–2026).
So’s choir is also active in international choral competitions and exchange programs. In summer 2024, the choir traveled to Slovakia for the International Youth Music Festival, where they won the Grand Prix and So was recognised as “Best Conductor”. In 2026, they have held an exchange concert with the world-famous Vienna Boys Choir, as well as local choirs, in Vienna and Salzburg.
The choir has also earned Gold Medals at the Grand Prix of Nations in Gothenburg (2019), the Taipei International Choral Competition (2022), and the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Competition (2024). They were category winners at the 5th Tokyo International Choir Competition (2023).
