Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jodie holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she studied composition under Prof. Kai-young Chan, Prof. Wendy Lee, and Dr. Hau-man Lo. Her compositional work focuses on Cantonese choral music, with works including Gau Zoeng Gei and Memories. Memories was published by CU Chorus and has been performed in Hong Kong, the United States, and Taiwan. She has also studied piano under Ms. Aywen Wang, organ under Dr. Anne C. Lam and voice under Mr. Caleb Woo. 

Jodie obtained a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Recital with distinction from Trinity College London in 2017. As a pianist, she has performed in concerts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, including Midday Oasis and French May, and has accompanied concerts by Reading Lunchtime Choir. She has also worked as a pianist and vocal instructor with Yip’s Children’s Choir. She has also served as organist at St. Francis Church and currently plays the organ at St. Mary’s Church, Shinfield, England. 

Jodie has sung with choirs including Die Konzertisten and CU Chorus, and has appeared as a guest singer in the United Kingdom in concerts presented by Gey Teal Girls’ Choir in Manchester, and Hong Kong Reading Singers in Reading. She is currently a member of Reading Phoenix Choir.
