Born in Hong Kong, Jason Tsz-Shing Liu studied the piano, the cello and composition since a young age. He attained the FTCL Diploma for piano and the LTCL Diploma for cello. A Master graduate at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Jason majored in Collaborative Piano under the tutelage of Associate Professor Hsu Wei-En. He is currently an Academy Accompanist and lecturer in Junior Musicianship.
Jason is currently the Assistant Conductor of The Learners Chorus under the tutelage of Apollo Wong. He is also Chorus Master of Ponte Orchestra and Singers. Jason’s compositions were awarded and performed locally and abroad. Recent recognitions include Honourable Mention of Japan International Choral Composition Competition 2022, and one of the three finalists in Oper Leipzig composition competition “Wahrheiten”.
