Competition Format
Every session begins with exciting performances from all participating schools followed by the adjudicators’ feedback. A Mass School Choir Masterclass then brings all choirs together to sing and learn, before the celebration at the award presentation. We want the children to feel like they are learning partners in a magical musical adventure.

Budding Emcees
Schools may nominate two student emcees to introduce their choir, share a memory from rehearsal, or talk about their favourite song. It is an optional but heartwarming opportunity for young voices to shine and speak from their hearts.

“Thank You” moment
The success of every performance begins long before the children step onto the stage. We deeply admire the commitment of the teachers, conductors, and kindergartens who pour their hearts into every rehearsal. To ensure their dedication is celebrated, each session concludes with a special “Thank You” moment, allowing the community to express collective gratitude to those who make these musical journeys possible.

All are Welcome!
We warmly welcome members of the public to join us, experience the joy of these young voices and support the incredible work of local kindergartens.

Awards

Choirs are evaluated across ten key areas of technique and showmanship to determine Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Participation awards. The breakdown is simple: six or more areas fulfilled earns Gold, four to five earns Silver, two to three earns Bronze, and zero to one earns a Participation Award.
