We are thrilled to announce that renowned American choral expert Dr. Paul Head has joined our artistic panel! As a Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at the University of Delaware, Dr. Head leads a university choir that proudly holds the #1 ranking in the Interkultur World Ranking. Starting today, he will serve as an adjudicator for our Competition cum Masterclass and will also engage with participants in our Artist-in-Residence Programme.
In other news, Mr. Daniel Knauft, co-founder of the acclaimed German vocal ensemble amarcord won’t be able to join us in Hong Kong. However, he will still conduct his workshop, “Navigating Vocal Changes: Warm-Up Strategies and Anatomy for Young Voices”, online on 17 February. Registered teachers, please keep an eye out for our latest updates.
We also want to extend our best wishes to Dr. Darius Lim, Artistic Director of Voices of Singapore. Although he has recently arrived in Hong Kong, he is unable to participate in our activities in person due to health reasons. Fortunately, several experts from the HKICF artistic team will be stepping in to support our programming. We wish Dr. Lim a speedy recovery!
