The HKICF 2023 Virtual Choir Project, in partnership with the Children’s Cancer Foundation, aims to promote love and care through singing.
The new song “聽不到的愛”, composed by Mr Mark Tai and written by Ms Jessie You, features a positive and inspirational melody and lyrics that promote the importance of peer support and communication.
Ten kids recruited by the Children’s Cancer Foundation participated in the event and received a professional vocal training workshop from HKICF Artistic Director Mr Kelvin Lau. Some participants even joined a rehearsal of the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir (HKISC), enjoying the fun of chorus singing, and took part in a recording session in a professional studio. The Children’s Cancer Foundation’s participants were invited to do a video recording with members of the HKISC in mid-April 2023.
This meaningful event successfully attracted more than 2,200 students from about 60 primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong to sing alongside children with cancer.
