Mandy Chung

Senior Manager

Mandy Chung is an arts and cultural advocate with extensive experience in arts management, learning, and engagement across leading institutions in Hong Kong. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, with a minor in Music, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2018, she was awarded the “Professional Attachment at Dance Base, Edinburgh” by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, enabling her to expand her professional expertise and international network during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

At the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Mandy has played a pivotal role in shaping innovative learning programmes that connect audiences of diverse backgrounds and abilities. She curated the inaugural initiative, HKPM SHOWTIME!, delivering more than 100 sessions of performances and engaging approximately 60,000 participants. This programme facilitated dialogue among arts disciplines and allowed visitors to learn about the exhibitions from various perspectives. In addition, she contributed to interpretive efforts and enhanced the visitor experience across eleven major exhibitions. Earlier in her career, Mandy managed over 200 education and outreach offerings for two landmark cultural events—the milestone edition of Le French May Arts Festival and the inaugural Lumieres Hong Kong.

Mandy has built strong networks with local and international arts organisations, educational institutions, and practitioners. Her leadership in project management, creative content development, team management, and cross-sector collaboration reflects her visionary approach to arts and cultural curatorship.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mandy remains deeply committed to music and arts education. As an alumna of CUHK’s MA in Cultural Management, she served on the Executive Committee of the alumni association for four years. She co-curated programmes for the department’s arts festival in 2019 and contributed as a speaker and anthology writer at the Alumni Symposium in 2025. A dedicated member of The Hong Kong Virtuoso Chorus, a registered charitable organisation, Mandy also assisted in developing the early editions of Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival.

Mandy’s dedication to arts and culture drives her to pursue excellence in both her professional and academic fields.
