Mr. Joshua Ng is a music educator, composer, and arranger who graduated from the School of Music at Hong Kong Baptist University, where he completed both FTCL and LTCL diplomas with distinction in piano and flute. He continued his studies with a master’s degree in composition from Florida State University.
A former music teacher at ELCHK Lutheran Academy, Mr. Ng taught across the IB PYP, MYP and DP levels and conducted the Year 5 and 6 Wind Band. At Diocesan Girls’ Junior School, he directed music operations for the Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Brass/Woodwind Ensembles, leading these groups to top placements in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals and Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows. Additionally, he supervised student pianists for three school choirs and served as the inaugural conductor of the Junior Wind Band.
In his role as Programme Coordinator for the HKICF, Mr. Ng manages logistics and coordinates international guest artists, overseeing travel arrangements and curating workshops for Hong Kong’s music community. He also leverages data automation to streamline administrative tasks and provide data-driven insights to support the Festival’s operations.
