Dr. Anthony Trecek-King is a highly acclaimed choral conductor, scholar, pedagogue, and media personality with over 20 years of experience. He serves as Resident Conductor (chorus) with the Handel and Haydn Society, Artistic Director of the Berkshire Choral International, and a Creative Advisor for the Voces8 US Foundation, in addition to being an active guest conductor.

Renowned for his ability to create moving performances with profound expression, Dr. Trecek-King excels at cultivating musicians through a collaborative rehearsal style that bridges high art and humanity. Ensembles under his direction have been integral to projects earning a Pulitzer Prize, a Grammy Award, and the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. He has worked with a diverse array of artists and ensembles, including Leslie Odom Jr., Yo Yo Ma, and the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, leading performances in world-renowned venues such as Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House.

Beyond his conducting, Dr. Trecek-King hosts the classical radio show “The Silent Canon” and has appeared on the Emmy-nominated WGBH television series “Sing That Thing” and delivered two TEDx Boston talks. He holds a D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from Boston University.
