Ms. Agatha Tsui is a versatile locally-trained musician in Hong Kong. She is particularly a pianist, vocalist, music educator and conductor. Upon completion of the Teachers Certificate course at the Grantham College of Education, she furthered her studies in music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where she obtained her BA Music and MA Music with honours.
During her studies in CUHK she majored in piano performance under the tutelage of Ms. Teresita Botelho, Ms. Nancy Loo and Professor David Gwilt, obtaining her LTCL and LRSM. Besides piano performance, Ms. Tsui also took vocal lessons from Ms. Fu Gui Hua and Ms. Rao Lan and conducting lessons from Mr. Liu Shiao Yang and Mr. Patrick Chiu.
Ms. Tsui began her professional teaching career as a music teacher and choral conducting in Diocesan Girls’ Junior School, Diocesan Girls’ School and St. Stephen’s Girls’ College, leading their school choirs to win numerous prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
She was later employed by the HKU SPACE Community College as the choir conductor and was appointed as Honorary Lecturer and Musical Director for the HKU SPACE Community Choir.
