MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM

The Hong Kong Inter-School Choir Festival (HKICF) programmes accept registrations from members only. Choirs and participants are required to create accounts to enroll in our diverse range of programmes. To register for choir-based programmes, a school or music organisation account is necessary. For individual programmes, a personal account is required. Starting from HKICF2026, we welcome schools, music organisations, and individuals outside Hong Kong to register as members and be part of the festival! 

Through the membership system, members can:

  • Access the latest news from HKICF 
  • Enroll in HKICF programmes and events  
  • Process payments securely  
  • Receive updates regarding registered programmes and events
  • Purchase scores of festival commission pieces (Coming Soon!)
  • Subscribe for exclusive teaching resources (Coming Soon!)

Membership accounts

School / Music organisation account

For Schools / Music organisations within and outside Hong Kong 

Eligibility

Primary schools, secondary schools, or special schools in Hong Kong registered under the Education Ordinance and offer full-day or half-day programmes. Similarly, non-local schools must be registered with their respective government.

Music organisations must be properly registered, preferably as non-profit or charitable entities. Applications will be evaluated based on the organisation’s track record and purpose. Furthermore, as the primary objective of HKICF is to serve schools, all registered school choirs will be given priority for signing up for programmes. Other music organisations’ applications for programmes will be accepted only if there are vacancies.

Personal account

For individual school music teachers and conductors within and outside Hong Kong

Eligibility

Applicants must be either a school music teacher or an external conductor / tutor affiliated with a registered school or community choir.

Event Registration

Mainly for enrolling in Individual-Based programmes, including

  • Workshops for Music Teachers / Conductors
  • Teachers’ Choir

Unless specified otherwise, all individual activities will be conducted on-site, and participants are required to attend in person.

Application Procedure

It’s free of charge.

Approval typically takes 5-10 days, and applicants will be notified via email.

For Schools

A soft copy of the School Account Membership_Acknowledgement letter from school is required.

For Choral Groups / Music Organisations

If the organisation is a government-recognised charity (e.g., a tax-exempt charity under Section 88 of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance), please upload the relevant supporting documents when completing the online registration form..

For Music Teacher/Conductor

Provide either a school email address or a soft copy of proof of your role, such as a music teacher staff card, a letter from the school or organisation.
