ABOUT Dr. Anthony Trecek-King
Dr. Anthony Trecek-King is a highly acclaimed choral conductor, scholar, and educator with over 20 years of experience. He serves as Resident Conductor for the Handel and Haydn Society, Artistic Director of the Berkshire Choral International, and a Creative Advisor for the Voces8 US Foundation. Renowned for his ability to create moving and expressive performances, Dr. Trecek-King is celebrated for his collaborative rehearsal style. Ensembles under his direction have been integral to projects earning a Pulitzer Prize, a Grammy Award, and the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. He has worked with a diverse array of artists, including Leslie Odom Jr. and Yo Yo Ma, and has presented his work in world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. Beyond his conducting, he is a media personality who hosts the radio show “The Silent Canon” and has delivered two TEDx Boston talks. He holds a D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from Boston University.
