HKICF2026 CCM Update: Click here to view the competition schedule

Since 2022, HKICF has launched the Virtual Choir Project, encouraging schools to give back to society through music and to highlight the transformative power of choral singing. Each year, the project partners with different organizations to address diverse social issues. By singing together online, we seek to spread love and care, promote mental health awareness, advocate healthy living habits, and bring positive energy to the community.

Virtual Choir Project 2026 takes Sports and Health as its theme. We are honored to collaborate with InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a local charity dedicated to empowering youths through sports. We are also delighted to partner with “Every Life Is A Song”, with its co-founders Ms. Vicky Fung and Professor Chow Yiu Fai composing the project’s theme song. Joining hands with the TWGHs Kitty Woo Music & Arts Development Centre, we aim to extend the reach of this initiative to more young people across Hong Kong—bringing music and sports together to inspire health, vitality, and unity in our society.

Virtual Choir of Previous Years

We Sing

2025

The Virtual Choir Project presented “We Sing”, which involved over 2,000 students from 48 primary and secondary schools. We were proud to work with MindHK, Hong Kong’s leading mental health charity, as our collaborative partner to raise awareness about youth mental health through music. Supporting the project was Every Life is a Song, whose founders, renowned artists Ms. Vicky Fung and Prof. Chow Yiu Fai, created the theme song for this impactful community endeavour.

Love’s Boundless Flight

2024

We are proud to collaborate with the charity New Sight, supporting the remarkable mission of a Hong Kong physician in the Republic of Congo, Africa, to restore and protect sight through operating an eye hospital. The project has attracted nearly 50 school choirs, over 2000 students to join.

聽不到的愛

2023

We partnered with the Children’s Cancer Foundation in 2023, with more than 2,200 students from 60 secondary and primary schools singing together to show their support and encouragement for children with cancer. It was the first time to collaborate with charities to organise the virtual choir project, hoping to use this opportunity to spread the message of love and care through singing.

每一個明天

2022

During Covid-19, in order to enable local primary and secondary students to continue their learning while schools were closed, and to support frontline healthcare workers, HKVC organised its first Virtual Choir Project on an individual basis. This new initiative allowed students to sing with others virtually, to encourage the continuous learning, resulting in enthusiastic participation from over 1,500 students. Their voices were compiled into a music video, aiming to connect society through choral music and to express gratitude and encouragement to all those who remained committed to their roles during the pandemic, fighting for the well-being of the people of Hong Kong.
