Having studied with world-renowned conductors including Helmuth Rilling, Masaaki Suzuki, and David Hill, Dr. Andrew Hon has been frequently invited as a conductor, presenter, and clinician in North America, Europe, and Hong Kong. His articles can be found in the peer-reviewed Choral Journal and Anacrusis of Choral Canada, and his voice can be heard on several professionally recorded albums published by Hyperion Records and ATMA Classique.
Dr. Hon holds a doctorate in choral conducting from McGill University and master’s degrees in choral conducting and sacred music from the University of Cincinnati and from Yale University. He also holds a B.A. degree in music with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley and PGDE from Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Hon is currently Director of Music and Performing Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School, the inaugural Artistic Director of the Hong Kong McGill Alumni Choir, and a member of the Sha Tin Arts and Culture Promotion Committee.
