HKBUAS Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School Choirs Secondary Division A-Singers

With the vision to engage students in a wide range of repertoire, A-Singers, an auditioned mixed choir comprising Grades 7-11 students, was founded in 2022. The group frequently collaborates with the Secondary and Primary Division Choirs and Orchestras to present choral-orchestra masterworks throughout music history, including excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung, performing at major school events as well as local and international competitions. In 2023, A-Singers earned a Gold Award at the Joint School Music Competition (JSMA), First Prizes at International Young Musicians Music Competition, Vienna, and Hong Kong International Music Festival, Gold Award at the 7th Singapore International Choral Festival (Category B1: Mixed Voices 19 years and below), and First Prize in Hong Kong-Macao Region at the 4th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Art Exhibition 2023. In 2024, they won second and third places at the 76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and a Gold Award at the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival. Most recently, they won a Gold Diploma (Level III) in the Secondary School Choir category of the World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
