Since January of this year, The Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival has already held multiple amazing events, including: Competitions cum Masterclass, Mass School Choir Masterclass, The Showcase Concert, Teachers’ Choir, and multiple workshops for music teacher and conductor. After a three-year hiatus, HKICF once again invited overseas choir experts to Hong Kong to serve as adjudicators, speakers and clinicians, sharing the joy of choral singing with teachers and students!

HKICF has been busy organizing the Virtual Choir Project 2023 from April to July. In cooperation with the Children’s Cancer Foundation, the project recruited more than 2,200 students from 60 primary and secondary schools to participate in the Virtual Choir, spreading love and care through song. In July, the “School Choir Incubator Programme” and “Hong Kong Inter-School Choir” in the HKICF Plus Extension Programme have successfully concluded in three concerts!

This year’s HKICF has attracted over 10,000 students from 186 primary and secondary schools. We sincerely thank all schools, teachers, parents, and students for their participation! At the same time, we would like to express our special thanks to the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Calvin Chan Foundation, The Tung Foundation, Lee Hysan Foundation, and The Shaw Foundation for their support, as well as all our collaborative partners who have worked with us to ensure the smooth running of all activities in HKICF 2023!

HKICF 2024 will be held from January 2 to April 6 2024, bringing you more diverse programmes and activities. We look forward to seeing and singing with you all again!
