Artistic Coordinator / Assistant Conductor
Omarr Cheng is a graduate studied music in Hong Kong Baptist University majoring in Voice. He has studied voice with Mr. Jimmy Chan since the year of 2015 and obtained Grade 8 Voice from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in 2016 with distinction. Since his secondary, he has participated in the Hong Kong Music Festival and has won prizes in the vocal solo category. During his studies, Omarr has received the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund Undergraduate Scholarships and The Hong Kong Children’s Choir Music Scholarship.
Since joining the school choir in 2012 in his secondary, he has been actively participating in music ensembles. He was the chorister and part leader of the Hong Kong Baptist University Christian Choir and a member of Cantoría Hong Kong, performing in Duruflé’s “Requiem” and Poulenc’s “Gloria”. He has also shown enthusiasm in choral conducting being the associate conductor in the HKBU Christian Choir and the conductor of HKBU Staff Choir during his university study. In 2023, he had performed with Cantoría Hong Kong as a student conductor, participating the Cantoría Student Conducting Project.
