Educated in Hong Kong and the United States, Mr. Ronnie Kay Yen CHENG is a seasoned conductor of both the choral and orchestra arts. Under his direction, his ensembles have won International accolades and championships in Austria, China, Germany, Japan, S. Korea, U.S.A., and Wales. Through the years, Mr. Cheng’s contributions to the choral arts were recognised as he was awarded the Outstanding Artistic Award as well as The Outstanding Conductor Award in various International Competitions. He currently directs Diocesan Choral Society and Diocesan Male Chorus. Mr. Cheng is also an Executive Committee member of the newly established Asian Choral Association.
As an accomplished musician and educator, Mr. Cheng is also active in the field of education as he serves as the Headmaster of the Diocesan Boys’ School, Hong Kong.
