鋼琴伴奏深造技巧訓練 (講者:李偉安先生)
2 月 6, 2024 @ 7:30 下午 - 9:30 下午
Most, if not all choral conductors would agree that the accompanist not only supports a choir, but is instrumental in bringing life to any choral rehearsal, and soul to a performance. There are many nuances and subtleties in the art of choral accompaniment, from voicing to balancing, pulse-setting to word-painting, and from multi-part sight-reading to vocal coaching.
Mr. Warren Lee is a world-renowned pianist on the Steinway Artist roster. Also a Naxos Recording Artist, his discography includes 11 acclaimed solo and chamber music albums that has over 3 million listeners on Spotify alone. The American Record Guide calls him a “first-rate artist”. He is also an award-winning choral composer and Music Director of St. Paul’s Co-educational College.
In this session, participants will be enlightened by Mr. Lee’s personal experiences not only in his decades of accompanying choirs but also in writing for choirs and piano. During this workshop, we will have The Hong Kong Inter-School Choir as the demonstration choir. Participants will be able to see the impact on the choir’s sound with great piano accompaniment. Mr. Lee will delve into discussing the technical aspects and musical interpretation of a variety of choral repertoire, including his own works, and where the piano plays a vital part.
