Singing to me is a way to express emotions and enjoy the beauty of musical art. The most exciting part is having the opportunity to participate in large-scale performances, especially the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir 2023 concert and the music video production. These were unforgettable experiences that I never had in my school choir before. They boosted my confidence and helped me sing in front of an audience without stage fright.

The Hong Kong Inter-School Choir’s Beauty and the Beast was a tour de force, surpassing all expectations. The unison of the orchestra and choir, elevated by thoughtful acting, choreography and staging, created a powerful emotional ascent. The exquisite arrangements showcased the dedication and artistry of the choirs, orchestra, and soloists, making for a deeply moving and unforgettable experience.

From our parents

Kini has enjoyed singing since childhood, and her passion only grew after joining the choir in second grade. We had looked into fee-based choir programmes or other vocal training courses in the community, but without the financial means to pursue additional music education, she was never able to participate.

By the time she reached sixth grade, seeing our daughter’s unwavering enthusiasm for choral music, we struggled with whether to cut back on other daily expenses to afford more professional training for her. It was at that time we received a teacher’s recommendation for her to join the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity!

Thank you to the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir! We are deeply grateful for your commitment to nurturing young talents—providing them with opportunities, encouragement, and guidance. The countless hours spent in preparation and rehearsal behind the scenes shows your great dedication.

Last night, we were joined by our school’s music and choir teachers. Together, we reminisced about our child’s journey—from the thrill of being recommended for auditions, to acceptance, and finally to the stage. Now, seeing them reunited with seniors and juniors through the Choir, it feels like a thriving community, building a legacy of connection across generations.

As parents, we are truly moved. It is your passion as music educators and your shared vision as a team that have ignited the spark of growth in these young hearts. We do not know what dreams our children will chase in the future, but we are confident they will carry your inspiration with them: to pursue their dreams with courage and to cherish every opportunity.
