CCM Learning Journal

The School Choir Incubator Programme (the Programme) is an extension programme of HKICF, which aims to enhance the quality and diversity of choral music education and to better cater for the needs of music teachers and conductors on the journey of choral music. Launched in 2021, the Programme spans one school year and combines professional training courses and mentorship support to cultivate an atmosphere conducive to the sustainable development of choral culture in schools.

What have you gained from today’s Competition cum Masterclass experience?

HKISC is a wonderful place for an immersive and unforgettable choral experience. Other than the joyful memories I’ve been very honoured to create with my fellow choristers, HKICF has offered us such diverse opportunities and unwavering support to participate actively, fully unleashing the power of music within us, and delivering our messages through melody and harmony.

Singing to me is a way to express emotions and enjoy the beauty of musical art. The most exciting part is having the opportunity to participate in large-scale performances, especially the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir 2023 concert and the music video production. These were unforgettable experiences that I never had in my school choir before. They boosted my confidence and helped me sing in front of an audience without stage fright.
